We sang Happy Birthday to Thomas, and Dad helped them make a special machine. Great weekend, fun times.

Texas Connection

Look closely for the "for sale" sign which should now say "SOLD" as this is the Crockett Avenue address for the Lowthers in Seattle, and the Texas Connection that Michelle and Mark must always remember!

Seattle Sights

Just thought we would test the Picture Posting from Picasa. Works well for Hollimannet so we'll check out the Seattle site. This is the famous fish station at Pikes Market across from WaMu and in the next block from the temporary apartment.

Okay, I feel so cool to be a blogger and part of gen y, gen z ... whatever generation we're on! Nothing exciting from H town ... but I did hear that you need to join the Downtown Seattle Athletic Club for social purposes. And, cannot wait to hear about your first whale watching trip. We loved it when we were there ...

It works!

Wow! Okay... I will try to wrap my techno-challenged brain around blogging and post regularly. I'll try to send an invitation out later this afternoon, so people can join. Hope I can figure it out! :) WE LOVE IT HERE!!!

More later, when I actually have something to say.

We're here!

Hello friends and family,

Well, the adventurers have landed safe and sound in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Michelle, Baxter, Sophie and I are settled in to our cozy one bedroom corporate apartment and really enjoying all of the space (insert laugh here…).
I flew with the cat (in cargo) and Michelle and her dad brought the dog in a 5 day car trip! But, I hear that they had a very good time with the drive up - - I even heard about a few side trips to Nevada….Hmmmm…….

The job with WaMu is going really well - they are definitely keeping me busy these days. And Michelle's business is starting to get established here in Seattle. We had a great last week with Harvey and Jane and began learning a lot about the city! Thanks Harvey and Jane! : )
All in all, it is great being here. The weather is amazing (reminds me a lot of Estes Park, just not as dry). The city is a cross between Austin and San Francisco (Syb - you would really love it!).
And for really good news - - - after sifting thru many scarey and very small in-town properties, we finally found a keeper! We made the offer late last night and the sellers accepted it this morning, so now let the financing begin! Hello tuna fish for dinner every night?

Here's a quick pic of the house - seemed like a kinda cheesey idea, but I figured, what the heck. It's located in this great historic neighborhood (similar to the Heights) and within walking distance of some great restaurants, wine bars (need I say more?), etc.

Not the same square footage we had on Oak Bend in Houston (insert laugh here), but it is going to be a really great place that Michelle and I can call home. And……..we are really looking forward to having lots and lots of visitors. I hear summers here are absolutely amazing - - - any takers? If so, we have an extra room or large closet ready and waiting for you. And here's the best part - - NO AIR CONDITIONING! Yeah, you just open the windows. Amazing….

Hope all is well. We miss you all very much and look forward to seeing you here in Seattle very soon.
